Curl Up & READ

I LOVE TO READ!!

One day I will have a library like the one on Beauty and the Beast, but in the mean time I purchased a Nook Color to get the latest reads at the touch of a button. Latest installments to the electronic library:

I finished The Host by Stephanie Meyer about 2 weeks ago.
This book is a must read. The novel introduces an alien race, called Souls, which takes over the Earth and its inhabitants. The book describes one Soul's predicament when the mind of its human host refuses to cooperate with her takeover.

Ok it sounds iffy, but i promise it's a great book. Never really thought i would be into an alien novel, but i guess I read about vampires so...
I was actually sad when I finished reading it because I wanted there to be more!

The other day I dove into the book Bossypants by Tina Fey. Laugh out loud funny and great writing style. I've been a fan of Tina for a while so i may be biased, but to compare I also love Ellen Degeneres and could barely get through the first chapter. Her writing is exactly how she talks...all over the place. So it was nice to read Bossypants and imagine Tina's voice as the narrator.

There are a lot of references that she uses that are WAY before my time, but she doesn't leave you in the dust and you're able to pick back up when the old stuff is over.
Fun fact: Tina Fey doesn't have a driver's license.
Go get this book! (or if you want me to share it with you on your nook, holla)

I'm currently reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. I downloaded the sample and was hooked! It opens up with a girl living on Park Avenue while seeing her homeless mother rummaging through the dumpster. How crazy is that?! This one is based on a true story and when she takes you back to her childhood it only gets more insane.  I'm about half way done and really don't know what the ending could be or how she comes out successful. But we will see!!!

Anyone have any recommendations for my next read? I'll need something in about 3 days. K thanks!

~toodles!
